DAY OF LIFE 1

My mommy and daddy got to hold me today, but only for a few minutes.  There is still a lot of testing and poking.  My blood sugars are still very low and stabilization is still something they are working on. They are trying to get A LOT of glucose into me to get my sugars up.

My brother and sister came in to see me for just a few minutes today.  I am in my isolette (incubator) and I know they are scared and don't understand what is happening to me. I look pretty scary with all the tubes and wires "on" and "in" me, and the "contraption" around my head (C-PAP) is really awkward too.

It's been a big day for other visitors: Uncles, Aunts along with my Nana and Grandpa too.

My Nana packed her bags and traveled here to "stay" until I come home.  She is an awesome Nana and my Grandpa is a pretty cool guy himself for bringing my Nana to come help my family for "however long is necessary, until I come home."

I am very blessed to have such great family and friends. I may be small, but I'm pretty tough. My daddy and mommy are very sad to see all of these things happening to me and they just don't understand what is going on with me. It's hard for my mommy to stop crying and focus on what they are saying and she is in a lot of pain from her c-section.

I am in a room all by myself and I have a nurse that is just taking care of me, so I am getting a lot of "one-on-one" attention, which is good because I need it.  I really do have a fantastic team of people trying to figure me out.
